Community Center of Northern Westchester
Founded in 1992, the Community Center of Northern Westchester seeks to improve the well-being and self-sufficiency of neighbors in need in 37 communities in Northern Westchester by providing food, clothing, programs and other resources free of charge.
Last year, 184 tons of food and 88 tons of donated clothing were distributed to the more than 1800 families who visited the center in Katonah; 34% of those who received food were children. In addition, clients received computer training and career and job counseling, health screenings, flu shots and eye exams, and attended construction skills classes, nutrition and immigration workshops, weekly English classes, and more.
As one of 30 Community Partners, Bedford Presbyterian Church has been a supporter of CCNW for many years.
