Paul Alcorn, Pastor

I have been the pastor at Bedford Presbyterian Church since 1989. I love teaching, working with children and youth, and being in a conversation with others about faith and values and the world in which we live. An important part of my responsibility as pastor is to be involved in the communities around us.  In the past I have been both a member and President of the Board of Education of the Bedford Central School District and on the Board of Directors of Bridges to Community, the international service learning organization through which we take groups on work/service trips to Nicaragua. Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Emergency Shelter Partnership, a program which provides hospitality and a safe place to sleep during the coldest months of the year for those in need and the Westchester Youth Alliance, and interfaith program for high school students. The newest initiative on which I am working is the Rewarding Potential Scholarship, a scholarship which supports students who have the grades and the dream to attend college, but who lack the financial resources.
