Worship Services

Bedford Presbyterian Church has been working hard to ensure the safety of our community while providing opportunities to gather online and in the sanctuary.  Our services are open and inclusive, joyful, and thoughtful.

Everyone is welcome.  We mean that.  We hope that you will join us!

Sunday at 10 am

While it’s not the only time our community gathers, Sunday at 10:00 am is a primary one. We include children, youth, and adults of all ages as we sing, pray, and share joys and concerns. We do our best to place our faith alongside the issues of the day so that we can carry a bit more hope, light, and peace into our complex world.

On Sunday mornings we also offer an educational program for children and middle school youth. Child care for infants and toddlers is also provided.

IF YOU COME ON A SUNDAY MORNING

Right now, we are worshiping on-line and outside as the weather permits.

When we begin to worship again in the sanctuary, this is what you can expect. An usher will welcome you at the door and hand you a program. There are no assigned seats. Children attend the first part of the service with parents, and then, after a children’s message, go to their own program, called Sunday Spirit. (If kids are feeling shy, parents can go with them or kids can stay in the service). Most Sundays, music is provided by our BPC Choir and a magnificent organ. There will be hymns, prayers, and a message. Sometimes a jazz quartet, rock band, gospel choir, instrumentalist, or our children’s choir will sing. We celebrate communion (Lord’s Supper) once a month. The service lasts a little over an hour. After the service, you are invited to a “Coffee Hour” and sometimes there’s a soup lunch. We always warmly welcome newcomers.

WHAT ARE THE OBSTACLES?

There are no obstacles to attending BPC! There’s no secret handshake, no dress code, and no requirements to attend. You don’t have to be Presbyterian– there are people of all backgrounds here. Come as you are, exactly as you are. Bring your questions, your doubts, your yearnings, and feel the presence of a loving God.
